Despite the rising temperatures, the first of three NLJUG Speaker Academy sessions was a great success last night.
The evening was hosted by, among others, Bert Jan Schrijver. These sessions are all about sharing knowledge on the do’s and don’ts of giving a successful conference talk. Knowledge sharing is a core value of NLJUG. If we can share that knowledge not only in writing (such as in Java Magazine) but also live on stage, we consider it essential to facilitate that.
The Speaker Academy has proven to be a great success in previous years. Several former participants have since taken the stage at major (international) events, including our own J-Fall and J-Spring conferences.
The NLJUG Speaker Academy consists of three evening sessions, where participants are prepared for their first public talk by none other than Java Champions Bert Jan Schrijver and Brian Vermeer.
