Simacan has gained much experience with JVM language Scala. It turns out Scala is very well suited to build microservices that let lots of data stream through our platform efficiently. Scala also lets us write very elegant code and it’s fun to write Scala.

Welcome to Simacan

In this pizza session, we show you what we like about Scala and why this functional language fits us so well. We use a lot of code examples doing this. The session is aimed at people that don’t know Scala yet or are just getting to know Scala. It’s a nice way to get to know Scala (better).
