J-Fall 2024: A Sold-Out Success!
We are thrilled to announce that this year’s edition of J-Fall was an incredible success! With a sold-out crowd, an inspiring atmosphere, and a bustling exhibition floor, the event exceeded all expectations.

In the dynamic realm of railway operations, adaptability is paramount—especially within one of the world’s busiest networks like the Netherlands’. Traditional scheduling systems often falter when confronted with real-time disruptions and shifting passenger demands. Addressing this challenge, NS has developed BAM! (BijsturingsApplicatieMaterieel), an innovative system that transforms how train schedules are adjusted on the fly.

Masters of Java 2024: And the Winners Are…
As a proud tradition, the annual Masters of Java competition kicked off the excitement the day before J-Fall. This intense and thrilling coding challenge brought together some of the brightest minds in the Java community to crack codes and solve complex problems.
During the grand finale, held on the main stage of J-Fall, we were thrilled to announce this year’s winners: Thomas Withaar and Maarten van der Zwaart from Team OVSoftware! Their exceptional skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities secured them the coveted title of Masters of Java 2024.
Congratulations to Thomas, Maarten, and all the participants who made this year’s competition such a highlight. We’re already looking forward to seeing who will rise to the challenge next year!
