DESCRIPTION:Wat we doen\nMeer en meer apparaten zijn tegenwoordig “slim” en er zijn talloze manieren om zelf devices op het internet aan te sluiten. Cloud providers spelen hier handig op in door oplossingen te bieden die het ontwikkelen van software voor devices en het deployen van deze software eenvoudiger maken. Deze hoeveelheid aan mogelijkheden heeft echter ook een keerzijde\, het is makkelijk om erin te verdwalen en waar moet je beginnen? In deze sessie nemen Roy Honders en Alexander Broekhuis je mee in de wereld van IoT en bespreken ze de mogelijkheden en onmogelijkheden van IoT in de cloud! \nInhoud van de sessie:\nIn de sessie wordt ingegaan op de centrale concepten en features van IoT in de cloud en aan de hand van AWS IoT wordt gekeken wat er in de basis nodig is voor het opzetten van een IoT project. DESCRIPTION:In deze aparte tijd waarbij afstand en thuiswerken belangrijke thema’s zijn gaat de Apeldoorn JUG\, een lokale divisie van de NLJUG\, door met het delen van kennis. Te beginnen met een online lunchsessie georganiseerd door Profit4Cloud. Rens Verhage presenteert: Graph Databases; een ontdekkingstocht met Neo4j \nBij het kiezen van een database voor een project wordt vaak de afweging gemaakt tussen een RDBMS of een document-oriented NoSQL-oplossing. Zelden worden Graph Databases in deze overweging meegenomen. Is dat terecht? Of maakt onbekend onbemind? \nDe sessie zal in het Nederlands worden gegeven. \nGraph Databases\nDeze sessie geeft een introductie in de wereld van graph databases. Aan de hand van de populaire graph database Neo4j wordt uitgelegd hoe deze vorm van NoSQL databases verschilt ten opzichte van een traditioneel RDBMS. Neo4j kent een eigen query-taal\, Cypher. In de sessie wordt gekeken hoe Neo4j met Cypher vragen kan beantwoorden die in SQL zeer complex of misschien wel onmogelijk zouden zijn. DESCRIPTION:Devoxx4Kids Online – bouw je eigen doolhof spel \nOrdina organiseert op donderdag 28 mei en vrijdag 29 mei 2020 wederom een online Devoxx4Kids sessie\, gewoon te volgen vanuit de huiskamer thuis. Devoxx4Kids heeft als doel kinderen in de leeftijdscategorie van 9-14 jaar op een leuke manier te inspireren voor programmeren. \nProgrammeer je eigen game! \nBen je tussen de 9 en 14 jaar en heb jij altijd al een game willen ontwikkelen? Schrijf je dan in voor Devoxx4Kids online. Hier leren ervaren ontwikkelaars van Ordina jou programmeren. \nWat gaan we doen?\nWij gaan deze sessie aan de slag met de programmeertaal Scratch. Met Scratch kun je je eigen interactieve verhalen\, spelletjes en animaties maken en delen met anderen. Aan het einde van de online sessie kunnen de kinderen hun eigen doolhof spel programmeren in Scratch door het gebruik van onder andere “loops”\, logica en functies. \nAlle vier de sessies omvatten hetzelfde onderwerp en duren ongeveer een uur. DESCRIPTION:Wat we doen\n\nMet de introductie van HTTP/2 werden een paar jaar geleden al flinke veranderingen doorgevoerd in het (daarvoor al jaren ongewijzigde) HTTP protocol. Met name het multiplexen van HTTP requests over één TCP-verbinding\, het versturen van data in frames in plaats van in clear text en het (net niet verplichte) gebruik van TLS. QUIC en HTTP/3 gaan nog een stapje verder\, maar deze keer liggen de belangrijkste wijzigingen vooral in de laag eronder. Waar HTTP/2 getransporteerd wordt over TCP gaat HTTP/3 gebruik maken van QUIC\, een nieuw transport protocol dat gebaseerd is op UDP\, het “onbetrouwbare” broertje van TCP. \nUDP mist allerlei mechanismes die TCP ingebakken heeft om een betrouwbare verbinding te onderhouden\, dingen die in QUIC dunnetjes overgedaan moeten worden\, of\, zo kun je het ook bekijken\, waarbij QUIC de kans krijgt om te leren van de ervaringen die met TCP zijn opgedaan. En daar komt nog bij dat QUIC TLS 1.3 ingebakken krijgt en dus standaard bijna alle verkeer versleuteld is. Hoe je het ook bekijkt\, het is reuze interessante materie die mogelijk de manier waarop het internet gebruikt wordt\, radicaal gaat veranderen. \nIn deze lunchsessie wordt ingegaan op hoe het hoe en waarom van het QUIC protocol: hoe het opgebouwd is\, hoe het zonder gebruik te maken van TCP toch een betrouwbare verbinding kan onderhouden\, wat de voordelen zijn t.o.v. To complement this great event Neo4j and Hopsworks invite you to a great meetup in Antwerp\, just a short tram ride away from DEVOXX. \n\n\n\nDuring this meetup there are 3 fantastic talks: \nMichael Hunger\, lead product innovation and developer strategy at Neo4j\, will explain the role Neo4j is playing in the GenAI journey. \nWe all know that LLMs hallucinate and RAG can help by providing current\, relevant information to the model for generative tasks.\nBut can we do better than just vector retrievals? A knowledge graph can represent data (and reality) at high fidelity and can make this rich context available based on the user’s questions. But how to turn your text data into graphs data structures?\nHere is where the language skills of LLM can help to extract entities and relationships from text\, which you then can correlate with sources\, cluster into communities and navigate while answering the questions.\nIn this talk we will both dive into Microsoft Research’s GraphRAG approach as well as run the indexing and search live with Neo4j and LangChain. \nRik Van Bruggen\, VP EMEA for Hopsworks will illustrate how you can use graph embeddings in a broader Machine Learning system \nGraphs are great – and Rik would probably be the very last person to doubt that. As a native Antwerpian and a decade-long graph enthusiast\, Rik will show you how you can use the power of Neo4j together with the Hopsworks Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) platform to bring the power of the graph to life. After all\, it’s great to get graph insights\, but unless you fully operationalise them in a production system\, it does not provide the business value it deserves. \nQuinten Rosseel\, freelance Machine Learning Engineer\, is diving headfirst into the mashup of AI agents\, generative audio/video\, and healthcare know-how. \nQuinten will demonstrate Mina\, an LLM-powered Q&A chatbot built with Neo4j and LangChain\, that’s already answering medical questions via chat and voice for UZ Brussel. He’ll also dish on his work with Wobby.ai (AI agents) and Anam.ai (generative AI personas)\, and how melting today’s AI tech could lead to healthcare experiences sharp enough to make your doctor sweat. \nFor more info see here
